Designation Policy
Every gift matters. Because this is true, it is even more critical for United Way of Gaston County to be efficient in administering donor gifts. The designation policy ensures that more of each contribution reaches programs, services, and the people who need them.
United Way honors designations only to United Way of Gaston County, its agencies, and other United Ways and their agencies. Designations less than $50 per agency or designations that cannot be verified will automatically go to the Community Impact Fund.
Your best way to have the greatest impact in our community is to give to United Way's Community Impact Fund. This gift accomplishes more because it enables trained volunteers to apply your gifts to services, programs and initiatives that will make the biggest difference in improving lives.
