United Way Campaign Leadership announces more than
$1 Million Dollars Raised
The United Way of Gaston County’s Campaign Chairs are all smiles today as the annual campaign boasts $1,000,492 toward the community-wide fundraising goal of $3,350,000. “We’re almost a third of the way there already”, says Eleanor Beasley co-chair. “We know the citizens of Gaston County can make a real difference in our community by making a gift to help us reach our goal. It is important that we all do what we can to help one another. It’s all about making our community the best it can be”.
At the Campaign Rally at Westfield Eastridge, Mall Friday evening, Knox Winget of American & Efird, thanked the Pacesetter companies who jump started fundraising by holding early campaigns in their workplaces. “Our pacesetter companies really stepped up to address the challenge this year and to meet the campaign goal. They are an important part of our United Way effort”, says Winget.
Since 1953, the United Way of Gaston County has taken a lead role in bringing about change in our community. The United Way provides health and human services throughout Gaston County, serving 12 municipalities.
