
EMPLOYMENT
Summary:
Reporting to the President, the Campaign and Donor Relations Manager’s primary responsibility is
implementing fundraising processes to create growth in dollars raised to invest in initiatives and
programs to improve community conditions under Education, Financial Stability and Health in Gaston
County. The position is measured based on outcomes that lead to greater awareness about the work of
United Way, donor engagement and increased contributions. Key Responsibilities:
Resource Development:
Working with the President, identifies and develops new opportunities for resources including
expansion in existing accounts as well as potential new companies/investors
- Maintains and builds solid relationships with corporate partners and their employees. Works
closely with board/ volunteers to help build these relationships with a team approach - Primary staff liaison to the volunteer Campaign Chair(s)
- Conduct workplace campaigns ,special events and requests for sponsorships and corporate gifts
to achieve annual goals - Positively represents UWGC at networking activities, events, strategic partners and other
outside activities that contribute to relationship building and visibility - Working with the President, helps identify and cultivate leadership donors
- Primary staff liaison to Board’s Resource Development Committee
- Prepares reports of current fundraising status for Campaign Chairs and Board
Event Planning
- Plans and coordinates UWGC annual meeting including securing sponsorships
- Plans and coordinates annual Purse Power including securing sponsorships
- Works with President and Board to plan and execute individual leadership events
- Other events as assigned within scope of position.

Education/Training/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 5- years fundraising/development experience preferably in a non-profit environment or relevant
sales experience - Knowledge of MS Office Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database experience,
social media experience, digital technology experience for video conferencing
